Description
Finished this one today as a present for my grandma's birthday. It's kind of the sto:lo style of art... but a little of my own twist to it. I do not do native art so I suck when I try. This is acrylic on wood, it started as a carving until I lost my carving set. So I just painted the rest xD. I don't think you can tell it's carved unless you touch it, though.

I've always love Coastal Salish-style designs.
I wonder how the bird would look if it were black, but I guess it would be harder to contrast it with the branch unless the different forms were clear.
You planning on trying more like these? Might be cool to experiment with other forms and types with the same motif.
